Faux-stocks Trading on Blockchain Draw Mixed Reactions

“Synthetic” versions of technology stocks such as Apple, Amazon and Tesla have been trading on blockchains. So reports Apple Insider.

AppleThe digital assets are made to mimic the price of those companies’ actual stock, but users are not actually trading any real shares. Proponents of the market argue it allows consumers unrestricted trading—since users are not trading stock, they do not have to follow rules governing stock transactions—while others are concerned with the lack of oversight the new market enjoys.
