The exchange reportedly lost $2 million of its customers’ cryptocurrency, prior to pulling the plug on its operation. Three years ago, Gatecoin lost 250 Bitcoin and 185,000 Ethereum in a hack, costing its user’s millions of dollars. In the wake of the hack, a “swathe of banking disruptions in the years following,” plagued the company as well.
