Near-record Breaking Bitcoin Transaction Leaves Many Scratching Heads

An unknown entity made a more than $1 billion bitcoin transaction in what is being considered one of the largest of its kind. So reports Vice.

That transaction accounted for 94,505 units of the digital currency. One hypothesis is Bakkt, a futures provider that recently opened a storage “warehouse,” is responsible for the move. But, it is unclear at this time who is responsible and what the reason is for the action.
