U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) said he is introducing legislation to protect token sales in America. So reports Beincrypto.

Proponents of a digitally-driven decentralized economy claim the Securities and Exchange Commission’s guidelines will likely lead many tokens and cryptocurrencies to be classified as securities. But Emmer’s hope, the article reads, is that the SEC only exercises influence over digital assets “that meet the conventional criteria of securities.” Emmer said he is working toward a “mutually acceptable solution” for market players and the SEC.
