Tailfin Labs the Birthchild of Walmart and Green Dot

Walmart and Green Dot are partnering to create a fintech startup accelerator to focus on the intersection of consumer financial services and retail. So reports Tech Crunch.

The two companies also agreed to expand their existing relationship—Green Dot serves as Walmart’s bank and manager for the MoneyCard program—for another seven years. The new accelerator will be called Tailfin Labs and it will be designed to “help startups develop solutions that integrate omni-channel shopping and financial tech, which can be aimed either at consumers or businesses,” according to the article.
