Gap Between Fiat and Blockchain Closing Thanks to German Gov't Plan

German authorities developed a way to allow investors to trade securities with blockchain technology in return for money from the central bank. So reports Reuters.

german 2815781 640The Bundesbank, which is working in partnership with Deutsche Börse and the government’s debt agency, announced this plan is the first of its kind and will allow individuals selling securities on blockchain to take proceeds into central bank accounts. “The technology could be scaled up to the entire euro zone shortly and well before the European Central Bank’s digital euro is launched,” according to the article.
