'Wise' Move: Direct Listing Brings Big Bucks to U.K. Fintech

British fintech Wise raised more than $11 billion after making its stock market debut. So reports CNBC.

wiseThe company, which formerly went by TransferWise, rallied for a 10% pop after opening, and closed at £8.88. Wise opted for a rare direct listing in the U.K., which means the company’s private backers are able to sell the shares they bought to the public.
