After Rapid Expansion, Klarna Reports Massive Losses in First Half of 2022

Swedish “buy-now, pay later” company Klarna reported “dramatic” losses in this year’s first half. So reports CNBC

To that end, the firm reported a pre-tax loss of nearly 6.2 billion Swedish krona, which represents a nearly threefold jump year-over-year. The company had largely been profitable until its 2019-2020 global expansion that saw it enter 11 new markets and strengthen its foothold in the U.S. and Britain via “a number of costly gambits.”
