U.S. Officials Lament Dangers of Crypto at Senate Hearing

U.S. officials, including Sen. Mitt Romney, expressed serious homeland security concerns with respect to cryptocurrencies. So reports Bein Crypto.

Romney made the comments at a recent Senate Committee On Homeland Security And Governmental Affairs hearing. FBI Director Christopher Wray stated “emphatically” that cryptocurrency “is already a significant issue” and is “going to become a bigger and bigger one.” Last year President Donald Trump issued an Executive Order to ban the use of Venezuela’s Petro cryptocurrency in the U.S., citing concerns over the digital assets.
