Warren is the chairwoman of the Senate Banking Committee’s Subcommittee on Economic Policy and penned a letter to Gary Gensler, the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to express her concerns and lay out some possible paths forward. Warren said she expects a response from Gensler with respect to the SEC’s plan to protect investors by Wednesday, July 28.
